Short, simple, accessible. Works great for mixed, men’s and women’s ensembles. Great concert starter, and many an audience member’s favorite piece.

The ‘tear jerker’ of the program, from the Largo of Dvorak’s “New World Symphony”, this simple, highly satisfying arrangement will capture your audience and hold them until the last note. A truly beautiful message.

High School: Medium difficulty
O come, o come Emmanuel - Christmas (Available in SATB, SSAA and TTBB)
Utilizing traditional chant, perfect intervals, lush male harmonies w/a great baritone solo, a verse of entire parallel 5ths to shock the listener (the verse about the Rod of Jesse defeating Satan’s Tyranny), and finishing with a Dorian ending for the “Day Spring Bright”, and finally reaching the expected major V chord on the 2nd “Rejoice”, ending on a plagal-half candence symbolic of the continued hope this text inspires.

Olomo Lo Laiye – African;Yoruban (Available in SATB, SSAA and TTBB)
Delightful African setting with an upbeat tempo, catchy rhythmic structure, cultural call-and-response singing, and accessible, singable vocal lines, this one is sure to be a crowd favorite.

In contrast to the modern, more simple, accessible, and darker setting by Ola Gjeilo, this rendition is set with a lush, thick SSAATTBB texture, resonating more with the positive meaning of the text.
