How can we get our music out there and share it with the world?
How can reach even more people and stay in contact with the fans we already have?
I found the answer to this when I stumbled upon an internet platform which lets artists broadcast their concerts, shows, interviews, backstage reports etc. live and online. I immediately wanted to try this with our choir.
Over the years, through various vocal festivals and choir competitions, we have have friends and fans all over Germany but also worldwide. Unfortunately we cannot go on tours around germany, let alone world tours every year and our fans, friends and family cannot travel halfway across the globe to attend our concerts. So instead of letting the fans come to us, we decided to come to our fans - right into their living rooms via an online live stream!
These virtual concerts only last half an hour and provide a great opportunity to show our fans some of our new pieces, maybe give them a little preview of an upcoming “real” concert, so that they might come to see us in person to get the inimitable music experience that you can only get by sitting in a real concert hall. The virtual concerts could also be used as a public final rehearsal before a show or even a competition. There is also an integrated chat, so that the audience can give feedback and virtually applaud!
