The Hutt Valley Singers with Musical Director Joanne Roelofs, present their first concert for the year on Sunday, May 1 at Expressions Arts and Entertainment Centre in Upper Hutt. New Zealand.
Titled "Gloria", the concert features Vivaldi's Gloria as the main work to be performed. Joining the choir for this work are soloists Janey Mackenzie and Adele Child, accompanied by an ensemble of local string players.
The concert will also feature Five Mystical Songs by R. Vaughan Williams, where the solo part will be sung by Baritone Isaac Stone and accompanied by pianist Karen Boyce. Audience members will also be entertained with works by Stanford, JS Bach, Brahms and Rutter.
The concert begins at 2.30pm and costs $15 for adults and $10 for students/children.
