Luís Cipriano is a Portuguese composer, with Degree in composition. In the last almost 25 years he was really active in Luxemburg’s music life as a musician, guest composer and conductor as well. He composed 12 Masses and several choral and orchestral works also musics for films and for theater.
He conducted winning choirs in International Choir Competitions and recorded numerous CD's and also served as advisor at World Choir Council.
Luís Cipriano was awarded with the "Special Gold Medal" by the Union Grand-Duc Adolphe of Luxembourg in recognition for his cultural merits. Currently he conducts the Beira Interior Classical Orchestra and the Coro Misto da Beira Interior (Choir) and works as a music teacher in Fundão.
From 2014 Mr Cipriano is the artistic director of the meeting music Portuguese Choral Competition, Beira Interior International Choir Competition & Festival.
