Hello everyone, I'm Santiago Veros, and I'm thrilled to share with you the next chapter in the creation of my Mass, "Eternal Unity." This is undoubtedly one of the most ambitious initiatives in the choral world. We are creating a Mass, composing one movement each year through a consortium, uniting choirs from across the globe. This initiative will keep us connected throughout the remainder of the decade, fostering a proud and lasting community of voices and spirits. Following the successful premiere of the Kyrie, this year we will delve into composing the Gloria, which will span from June to September.
My journey towards "Eternal Unity" was born from a profound belief in the power of music to unite people. In these times of division, I feel that music is one of the purest and most powerful ways to connect souls across cultures and distances. "Gloria", as part of this Mass, aims to celebrate and exalt the collective joy and gratitude for life and community.
Composing "Gloria" will be a four-month journey that reflects the spirit of communion. During this period, I will work closely with choirs from different parts of the world, incorporating their unique voices and perspectives into the work. The diversity of these contributions will not only enrich the piece but also reinforce the message of unity that "Eternal Unity" strives to convey.
I am extending an open invitation to choirs around the world to join this exciting project. By registering for the "Gloria" consortium, choirs will have the opportunity to be part of this creation from the beginning and to premiere the work in their communities. Being part of this consortium means participating in a global event and contributing to a work that we hope will leave a lasting imprint on the choral world and communities worldwide.
If you are interested in having your choir be part of this transformative experience, I invite you to register through the following link: Gloria Consortium Registration. This is a call to all choir directors, singers, and choral music enthusiasts to join us on this journey to create music that crosses borders and builds bridges between hearts.
Music has the unique power to unite us, and "Gloria" promises to be a vibrant celebration of that power. From June to September, I will be dedicating my heart and soul to writing a movement that I hope will inspire many. This Mass is written one movement per year, where each movement is a consortium. While each movement is premiered independently, year after year, the complete work will be ready in 2030 having united a large number of choirs along the way.
I thank everyone in advance who will join us on this journey; together, we will make "Gloria" resonate around the world.
