Last minute easy Christmas carol arrangements!

  • [A version of this article first appeared as a post on my blog From the Front of the Choir]

If you're anything like me, you leave everything to the last minute.

If you're not one of those people who start their Christmas repertoire back in June, you might find a few gaps in your Christmas song list. Or you might be looking for something Christmassy to teach the audience at the end of your Christmas concert.

I've just released six really, really easy arrangements of some well-known Christmas carols. They're very quick to learn and I've taught the harmonies succesfully to audiences over the years.

    • Angels from the realms of glory
    • Ding dong merrily on high
    • God rest ye merry gentlemen
    • The holly and the ivy
    • Sans Day carol (Cornwall)
    • We wish you a merry Christmas

You can find them in the Easy British Christmas carols tab on my sheet music page: chrisrowbury.com/song-arrangements Most of them are in three parts as either SAT or M/F (i.e. groups all singing in the same octave).

And if you look in the Complete listings, you'll find some other Christmas songs: O come Emmanuel, Away upon the mountain top (Da droben am berge) and Stille nacht.

What's more they're very cheap, available as recorded parts and/or sheet music and you only need to buy one copy!
