It has become one of the most significant Czech music ensembles during its history and it is desired not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. The ensemble is currently formed by these singers: Jakub Kubín (countertenor), Martin Ptáček (tenor), Lukáš Merkl (tenor), Radek Mach (tenor), Aleš Malý (baritone), Martin Struna (baritone), Richard Uhlíř (bass), and Václav Kovář (bass).
The repertoire of the ensemble includes the periods from the Gregorian chant up till arrangements of modern popular melodies while the most important part is formed by the vocal compositions of the 19th and 20th century, Czech, Moravian and Slovak folk songs and contemporary compositions which were often arranged or even composed directly for the Gentlemen Singers by composers with whom the ensemble cooperates closely (e.g. Jan Vičar, Jaroslav Krček, Jan Jirásek, Stephen Hatfield, or Mark van Platen).
Vocal Ensemble GENTLEMEN SINGERS regularly appears at important festivals, records musical programmes for radio and television. Since its foundation in 2003 it has given appr. 400 concerts in 15 foreign countries of four continents (e.g. Albania, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Estonia, Russia, Republic of Korea, Tunisia, or the United States of America). In addition to its concert activity the Gentlemen Singers together with Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra regularly organize concert series called ”Chamber Evenings with the Gentlemen Singers“ which have already presented ensembles like Ensemble Amarcord (Germany), Banchieri Singers (Hungary), Talla Ensemble (Finland), Voces8 (England), or Close Harmony Friends (Slovakia) and also participates in organization of Czech Choir Festival (Sborové slavnosti), which has become one of the leading choir festivals in the Czech Republic.
Among the recent accomplishments of the Gentlemen Singers belong two 1st places (in sacred and secular music) at Tolosa Choral Contest, Spain (2011) and the 1st place at Busan Choral Festival & Competition, Republic of Korea (2010). Several music magazines positively reviewed five ensemble̕s CDs called CANTO ERGO SUM (= I sing therefore I am), The Gentlemen Singers LIVE, Christmas IN EUROPAM NATUS EST (= He was born in Europe), JUST ONE WORLD, and THE BEATLES RETROSPECTION.
