The school choir itself has, over the years, gone from strength to strength despite the need for constant renewal caused by the inevitable “turnover” as new students took the places of those who left. However, after this experience, which has included many concerts in the region, participations in Choir Festivals in Italy and artistic exchanges with youth choirs from Germany, Hungary, Spain, Denmark and the Czech Republic, our desire to continue singing and, of course, the joy which singing together gave us all made it obvious that the time had clearly come to establish a group which could allow us to continue our musical journey together.
Thus, once formed, the joy of singing together stimulated our vocal group to initiate a musical journey of exploration of study which, we hope, will lead us on to ever more emotional musical experiences while, of course, maintaining a healthy and positive team spirit. For the moment, we do not want to limit our choice of style but rather we are striving to explore various repertoires and so it will be the musical journey itself that will determine our stylistic limits and will lead us to understand the expressive capacity that we can reach.
During our brief period of activity we believe that we have been able to make a positive impact and impression in various concerts at a national level as well as participating in the “Alpe Adria Cantat” International Festival 2010.
A confirmation of the validity of our artistic project came when we were chosen to participate in a Masterclass held by the celebrated vocal Ensemble the King’s Singers which took place in Lubeck, in Germany, in August 2011.
On 2nd October 2011 we took part in our first national competition in Fermo where we obtained the 2nd prize and a specific mention for the best performance of a renaissance piece.
