The choir performs every Sunday evening in the Roman Catholic cathedral of St. Colman's, a majestic building situated on a hill in the town famed for being the last port of call for the Titanic. The membership of the choir has grown considerably in the last five years and it now boasts more than 30 voices. The choir is a previous winner at the world famous Cork Choral Festival and has travelled to Vienna, London and Italy to perform at various events. In 2009 the choir was honored to be asked to sing in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City for the Sunday liturgy. That same year they also performed at Westminster Cathedral. They have been asked back to St. Peter's in July 2013 to perform again. This Easter the choir performed for the live broadcast of the Good Friday Liturgy and the Easter Vigil on Irish television channel, RTE 1, which was beamed live across the world on the RTE website and filmed in St. Colman's Cathedral. The choir were also filmed by Religious channel EWTN to celebrate Holy Week 2011 and these excerpts went out week-long. The choir have also recorded and performed with Irish composer and priest, Fr. Liam Lawton and feature on his most recent liturgical album, Healing Song. less
