was formed in 1989. The choir's permanent artistic director is Romana Rek. In the past years, Chamber choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian Choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed Choirs’.

Suomen Laulu ("Song of Finland") is one of the oldest mixed Choirs in Finland. Founded as a male choir in 1900, it became a mixed choir in 1907. The choir was conducted for more than four decades by its founder, the renowned choir conductor and ... moreSuomen Laulu ("Song of Finland") is one of the oldest mixed Choirs in Finland. Founded as a male choir in 1900, it became a mixed choir in 1907. The choir was conducted for more than four decades by its founder, the renowned choir conductor and composer Heikki Klemetti. The current artistic director, Esko Kallio (b. 1974), has conducted Suomen Laulu since 2002. The choir's repertoire consists both a cappella works and compositions works for choir and orchestra. Since 1921 the choir has maintained the tradition of performing the St. Matthew Passion by J.S.Bach every Maundy Thursday in St. John's Church in Helsinki. Suomen Laulu has made five recordings, the most recent of which was published to celebrate choir's centenary in 2000. The choir also has its own series of publications, the "Suomen Laulun ohjelmistoa", which contains several of the finest pieces of Finnish choral music. less

For security reasons, we could not take footage but everyone... moreOn 26 of May, 2012, members of SoundRoutes Choirs from across Glasgow and Lanarkshire visited Addiewell prison for the day to record a 4 track Ep "Changing Key" with the Addiewell Prison Choir. For security reasons, we could not take footage but everyone who was present knows that the atmosphere was electric. An unlikely place to experience joy and Community spirit, music brought together people from dramatically different backgrounds and gave them a common purpose. All proceeds go to Shelter Scotland.
