Kitka learned this New Year's song in Tbilisi from Tutarchela woMen's Choir, directed by Tamar Buadze. It is sung in Megrelian , a language related to Georgian.
"We wish you a Happy New Year. God bless the past year and the new one. Prosperity to you and yours. May your storehouses be filled with corn. May the bird of your dreams flap its wings. May you soon see your loved ones who are far away. Now, I am going to the mountains, and will not see you for five years." less

The Choir is truly representative of the force with a membership consisting almost entirely of serving and retired police officers, serving and retired members of the support staff and the special constabulary. We want to maintain the tradition of choral singing in a pleasant social environment and we do so under the professional leadership and tuition of our Musical director Alison Howell, accompanist Julie Payne and deputy accompanist Gemma Leach.
We also want to share that Musical tradition with the community, raise funds for local organisations and to act as ambassadors for the force. Away from the formal concerts however there is nothing the members like better than to sing and impromptu performances have taken place on cross channel ferries, in motorway services and in the odd pub or two.
