When Odwa Mvunge return to his birth community in 2012, after completing his music education studies at Nelson Mandela University, not much has changed. There still was no place in Zolani for The youth to express Themselves in cultural activities that was not offered at school nor in The community. After school The youth would loiter around without direction. This lead to The formation of The Zolani Youth Choir. The basic idea and purpose of The Choir is to equip youth of our community with basic music skills. The Choir consists of 25 scholars from different schools who are between The ages of 12 and 26 years. These scholars have no professional training or background in formal music, but have proven to have a passion and love for The art. The Choir continues The tradition of The Akademski pevski zbor v Ljubljani (Academic Choir of The University of Ljubljana) founded in 1926 by France Marolt, which consisted of male singers only. In The years between 1938 and 1940 Marolt also conducted The Female Academic Choir. After The cultural silence held during The Second World War, The Choir recommenced its activity, this time as a Mixed Choir under a new name, Akademski pevski zbor Tone Tomšič. The Choir has always been led by recognized conductors such as: France Marolt, Radovan Gobec, Janez Bole, Lojze Lebič, Igor Lavrič, Marko Munih, Jože Fürst, Jernej Habjanič and Stojan Kuret. It's a lot of fun! We welcome all levels of singers ages 12 thru senior in high school and There is no audition required. We are part of The School of Rock program and this is a paid program. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' The champions competed in, The Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. E’ con questa convinzione che nel 1995 nasce il Soul Singers Gospel Choir e nel tempo, Candy Patricia Cauilan, già cantante del coro universitario “Philippine Madrigal Singers”, tra i più rinomati e premiati complessi di musica polifonica nel panorama internazionale nonchè cuore, mente e direttrice dal gesto essenziale e dal gusto interpretativo adeguato, crea una formazione che ad oggi conta circa 30 elementi. Ad essa va aggiunta una formazione strumentale che riesce ad esaltare tutta la carica prorompente della musica Gospel. Il repertorio è stato, via via perfezionato affinando in particolare la vocalità con freschezza e dinamicità musicale.
