Statement of Purpose:
Deo Cantamus is an organization of musicians whose purpose is to worship the true and living God through the performance of and instruction in quality vocal and instrumental music. Because worshipping God is our fundamental intention, this necessarily requires that we be in right relationship with the God we worship. We believe that this is only possible through faith in Jesus Christ. therefore, we as individuals are followers of Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus is the fully divine and fully human Son of God. His death and resurrection is the only means by which people can have forgiveness of their sins and eternal life. the Choir of Notre-Dame de Bon Voyage has about 35 members and is the choir of the parish of Cannes, on the French Riviera. It was founded in 1898 by Albert Frommer, organist, and is now conducted by Stephan Nicolay, chapel master, since 1999. the choir s... morethe Choir of Notre-Dame de Bon Voyage has about 35 members and is the choir of the parish of Cannes, on the French Riviera. It was founded in 1898 by Albert Frommer, organist, and is now conducted by Stephan Nicolay, chapel master, since 1999. the choir sings each sunday and on special occasion in the different churches of Cannes. It also sings 4 to 6 concerts a year, sometimes with an orchestra. His repertory covers all the sacred music from gregorian chant to 21st century. Among the last masterworks done in concert with an orchestra are Requiem (Saint-Saens), Stabat Mater (Haydn), Vesperae Solennes de Confessore (Mozart), Gallia (Gounod), etc.
