Angell Family Foundation, as well as gifts from the general public, and the 19/19/19 Campaign. ​We are the House Ensemble of The Rockville Bach Academy, Inc, a non-profit organization chartered in Maryland. Founded in 2011 by conductor Richard Allen Roe, the group first took the name The Advent Project, owing to the Advent repertoire performed on their first concert. Most of ex-semble's members come from the Süwestpfälzer Kinderchor. Starting in the children's choir with voice training and also personal formation, ex-semble works mainly with a-cappella literature of all epoches. Under the musical direction of Kevin Fox (UK) and the baton of house conductor Erez Tal, Vocalocity performs mostly original arrangements of a range of cutting-edge rock/pop/jazz music. The singers, all of whom come from a background in modern a cappella, range in age but are mostly around their 20s-30s. After a fruitful year, including 3 full-house concerts and several festivals, working with leading acapella masters such as Line Groth and Eric Bosio, collaborating with leading arrangers, composers and artists and recording for the upcoming Swingle Singers CD, we are looking forward 2015 with a visit to Aarhus Vocal Festival and creating some new recording and video clips of our own. Philomela is a wonderful experience that will linger in your mind even after the music has died down. Philomela has become one of the most highly regarded choirs in Finland. Marjukka Riihimäki has acted as the choir´s conductor since it was established in 1984. Philomela is one of the most original choirs in Finland. It is a group of 40 unprejudiced, music-loving women who together form a graceful, polyphonic musical instrument. The choir performances are intensive and surprising experiences which combine theatrical elements to music. Philomela’s rehearsals are held in Helsinki but the choir gives several concerts per year all over Finland as well as abroad. Musical profile of Philomela is composed of contemporary Scandinavian choir music with flavours of world music, especially Finnish folk music.  less
