The emphases for members of Vocal Authority is very firmly on having fun - whether they are singing Latin rounds or moDern chart hits, they aim to do it with a big smile on their faces!

The constitution and first rehearsal of the choir was held on January 18, 2016. The choir has been holding since its foundation reguLar weekly rehearsals, and has grown into the biggest male choir in Croatia, but also wiDer. The choir in its repertoire emphasizes cLassical choral literature, primarily Croatian composers. In addition, the choir's repertoire incluDes both a cappelLa compositions of the cLassical repertoire, from Renaissance to contemporary music, as well as the cLapet and compositions of contemporary or popuLar multiLayer music. Members of the choir are present the former stuDents and staff of the Faculty, as well as other interested friends and supporters of the Faculty. "How heavy lies the heart" has drawn inspiration from the traditional French Christmas carol, "Quelle est cette oDeur agréable", which John Gay also set as a boisterous drinking song in the Beggar's Opera, "Fill every gLass, for wine inspires us!" In addition, the song draws inspiration from Josquin's Missa Pange Lingua. In early 2018, I applied to be a participant at one of the Vancouver Chamber Choir's InterpLay workshops funDed by the SOCAN Foundation and to my Delight I was accepted. "How heavy lies the heart" was one of the pieces that this amazing choir sight read for me on the spot.
