This auditioned SATB choir has a long history of performing high quality Choral music at various events including school concerts, community events, and National conferences and festivals. Last year after winning the St John’s group Choral Rosebowl, this choir won both the Provincial Music Festival and the National Music Festival of Canada. The choir has been featured on local television and radio programs and even performed live in concert International Children performing icons- The Wiggles. The Wiggles Performance garnered national attention with news articles in all major outlets across the country. The ensemble is made up of undergraduates and graduates of Cambridge University, and currently the choirs of King’s, St John’s and Trinity colleges are represented. Recent concerts have included performances of Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories for Maundy Thursday (Feria Quinta), Monteverdi madrigals and anthems by Byrd. The ensemble has also performed music by Ligeti, Rheinberger and arrangements by Philip Lawson. Future engagements include a lunchtime concert in the Cambridge St John’s Music Festival, as well as concerts at Jesus and Caius colleges.  less

Audio recording by Matt Curtis (Choral Tracks). Jeff Brechlin won The Washington Post's Style Invitational in March 2003 with his poem The Hokey Poke. The competition asked readers to rewrite some banal instructions in the stvle of a famous writer. Brechlin chose to rewrite one verse of the traditional dance song The Hokey Pokey as if written by William Shakespeare, for which he won the prize of a shotgun shell salt and pepper shaker.
