The choir aims to bring the people of Tower Hamlets (East London, UK) together to sing in a friendly and informal environment, and to make a joyful noise in the heart of the east end. There are no auditions, and songs will be taught primarily by ear, so you don’t need to be able to read music. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, or more of the shower-singer type — if you love to sing and you’re in the area, Sing Tower Hamlets is for you. We sing in a range of styles, from pop to Gospel to show tunes, and do lots of fun warm-ups to build your confidence and free your voice!  less

The Winelands Chamber Choir is a fledgling chamber choir based in the Western Cape Winelands District of South Africa, formed in 2010 out of our passion for choral music, ranging from classical to contemporary.

We have performed to standing ovations all over the world, including Russia, Romania, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and the eight largest cities in Japan. The Chorus's most recent overseas tour in 2013, saw them performing throughout Australia and New Zealand. The academic background , tradition and reputation of the choir are confirming it’s high artistic achievements. During it’s long history the choir won many prestigious awards at numerous competitions and festivals . The choir’s primary goals are: preserving and nurturing local and foreign secular and spiritual choral art, expanding culture, art and musical amateurism, engaging in various ceremonies, contests and other public performances. In achieving these goals, special attention is paid to professional and musical developing of singers and developing civic awareness and academic life.
