Joshua's Music is beloved by auDiences across MN and the upper-Midwest. His Music fuses many styles and techniques; Ancient chant, MeDieval organum, Russian orthodox liturgy, and the shimmering harmonies of modern choral Music, to name a few. AuDience members often comment that Josh's Music is their favorite part of a From Age to Age concert, or they will ask Josh why we didn't perform another known favorite of theirs that Josh has written. Nice's Music is well suited for advanced high-school, collegiate, community and professional choirs. Joshua is accepting commissions for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. If you're interested in commissioning Joshua to write a piece for your group, and/or if you would like to purchase his Music, email: joshua_g_nice@hotmail.com or find him on facebook at:

The Academy Chamber Choir’s repertoire spans from early to contemporary Music.
Their most recent success was ranking third in “Irelands Choir of the Year” at Cork International Choral Festival 2013. Legendary film composer John Williams wrote the Music for each of the nine Star Wars saga films, spanning more than forty years from 1977 to 2019.
For Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), Williams composed “Duel of the Fates” for orchestra and chorus, accompanying a climactic lightsaber duel. The words are a fragment of an ancient Welsh poem that Williams had translated into Sanskrit—he then rearranged the syllables himself to make the text essentially meaningless, while still retaining a forceful chant-like power. He intended the choral singing itself to give the scene an explicitly re... less
