W...  moreThameside Harmony has been in existence for over 30 years. A ladies' a capella four part harmony group we have our roots in barbershop but sing all sorts of music from old standards and barbershop classics to mega pop hits by groups like Abba and Queen. We perform sing outs for local groups in our area of Hampton in South West London, and take part in local fairs and festivals. Our weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays are a fun evening of singing, chatting and having fun together. We are always open to having new members. Experience is not required, nor is the ability to read music as we have 'teach tracks' with the songs in your part on (tenor, lead, baritone or bass) and access to these are given alongside sheet music. From time to time we run singing courses or open evenings for which there are no auditions. Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. All choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival.  less
