This traditio... moreThis Chorus is well-known for everyone who ever sang in the MEPhI Male Choir, since from the beginning of the choir (in 1956) it has always been among the first pieces for the choir newcomers (along with "Hunters' Chorus" and Gaudeamus).
This tradition caused another one: in the end of each choir's anniversary concert, all the former choristers being present among the audience come to the stage and sing these famous Choruses together with the main part of the choir.

Our close knit membership of nearly sixty guys has a strong commitment to vocal and performance excellence. Cottontown particularly enjoy competing in both national and international barbershop competitions. Well respected stages around the UK including the London Palladium have given us the opportunity to wow audiences with stirring harmonies, emotional lyrics, exciting choreography and visual effects.

During its 55-year existence, the aim of the Chorus has been development of artistic concert activities through the choral singing, interpretation of pieces of music of Slovak and foreign composers who write their pieces of music in the field of choral singing. The main credo is propagation of choral art and tradition and last but not least representation of City of Žilina and Slovakia all over the Europe and the world.
