The Choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and Germany. Links have been forged with Liederkranz Oberensingen, a German male Choir from Pontypridd's twin town, Nürtingen. The Choir also performs regularly at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and takes part in the HTV male choral competition. The Choir is currently broadening and improving its repertoire to provide a wide-ranging concert program. The Choir is a member of the National Association of Choirs, the Welsh Association of Male Choirs and the Welsh Amateur Music Federation, and is a past winner of the HTV Male Choral Competition and at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.  less

We bring you classical repertoires as well as delightful Norwegian folk songs. The Nidaros Cathedral Boys’ Choir has over 900 years of rich history. It’s the main Choir of Nidaros Cathedral which is located in the ancient capital of Trondheim, Norway. It’s also the main Choir of Royal events. The Choir will celebrate its 100 years of modern history in 2027 with a global tour. Current artistic director and conductor, Bjørn Moe - a former soprano in the Choir, successfully reinvented the Choir since joining as conductor in 1973. There are 100 members in the main Choir, 70 sopranos/altos (9-15 years old) and 30 tenors/basses (15-68 years old). In addition, the mini-boys Choir, has 40 boys ages 7-9. Since 2006, when Gary Weidenaar took the baton, the Choir has received invitations to appear at four state & regional conferences: Meticulous attention is given to performing Music of various periods or parts of the world in the style appropriate to that era or culture including adjustments of not only style but tone color also. Recent clinics with guests Chanticleer and Weston Noble have helped the Choir grow and the Choir regularly premiers new works by composers.  less

The Choir was founded in 1838 by Fredrik Pacius and...  moreThe Academic Male Voice Choir of Helsinki – Akademiska Sångföreningen or Akademen in Swedish – is a Fennoswedish (i.e. Swedish-speaking) male voice student Choir based in the Finnish capital of Helsinki. The Choir was founded in 1838 by Fredrik Pacius and is the oldest extant Choir in Finland. At present, Akademen has around 60 active singers, most of whom are university students. However, quite a few choose to stay in the active Choir long after graduation, which makes for a healthy mix of youth and experience. We give concerts regularly in Finland, and travel abroad as frequently as possible. In addition to all the Scandinavian and most European countries, Akademen has been on tour in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Singapore. We believe that ambitious Musical development can go hand-in-hand with tradition, and work enthusiastically to keep alive the dialogue between past and present.  less
