Initially, the singers performed mainly in their home town and neighbouring areas, actively accumulating experience for their first serious contest, the Latvian National Contest for Vocal Ensembles, in 1999. Success amongst the tough competition in the category of female Ensembles encouraged the singers to participate in international contests, resulting only in awards.
Success increases the joy of singing and in order to spread positive emotions to a greater number of Vocal music admirers, Anima Solla began concert trips to the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Lithuania and Australia.
Anima Solla has three different concert programmes – sacred music, compositions of Latvian composers and folk song arrangements, as well as jazz and popular music.
The group has also recorded 3 CDs - Domine Dominus Noster which includes sacred music compositions, Vai tā mana vaina bija (Was it my fault) with different Latvian folk song arrangeme... less

We are students. We are friends. We all study at Stellenbosch University and believe in the power of music to uplift, entertain and educate. We aim to share our voices and talent with all who will listen!
Any person acquainted with student culture understands the important role of music and singing in the life of a young person. Acastella is a platform for young adults studying at Stellenbosch University to practice their love of singing.
Unfortunately the members got spread across the vast world and thus decided to stop Acastella at the end of 2013. less

Psalm 145:10
All your works shall give thanks to you, O L ord,
and all your faithful shall bless you.
All God's works do praise him, as the beautiful building praises the builder or the well-drawn picture praises the painter; but the saints bless him as the children of prudent tender parents rise up and call them blessed. Of all God's works, his saints, the workmanship of his grace, the first-fruits of his creatures, have most reason to bless him.

Their sound combines rock, acapella, electronic, ambient and chant influences. Paradisum was created by Richard Childress, a Chicago-born professional singer, arranger and manager who brought together five talented and versatile young singers to record a few demo tracks. This attracted some attention from a veteran A & R professional, resulting in Paradisum being invited to perform in a private showcase in London before execs from Universal and Sony/BMG Records. The band is now in a new exciting collaboration with the brilliant tv and film composer Philip Sheppard. New covers and original sings will be out on Soundcloud and iTunes early in 2012.
