The group consists of musicians from around the South West and we perform at a wide range of venues all over the country. Our repertoire includes traditional choral music as well as contemporary arrangements of popular songs, film scores and jazz standards. We are available for hire and can provide an atmosphere and presence to meet the needs of any event.

Juan Belmonte, former conductor of the Orquesta Sinfónica del Zulia, in Venezuela, with the purpose of having a stable group for the symphonic choral repertoire. In the present time, Antiphona acts as an nonprofit civil association of culture promotion. The choir has been conducted by Mtro. Juan Carlos Bersague from 1995 to 2008. From 2010, Antiphona Titular Conductor is Mtro. César Alejandro Carrillo. In its curricular path, Antiphona has performed in several scenarios in Bulgaria, Colombia, Cuba, France, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Spain and Venezuela. We are conducted by maestro Leonardo San Juan and we seek to spread contemporary music by bringing to the public exotic and unique works from all over the world. Somos un grupo coral muy joven que se formó en el año 2015. They wanted to show how two seemingly different cultures can fuse together to produce something great. This vision has grown into Chai-Town A Cappella. Last year we performed at the a cappella competition Anahat, in Berkeley, CA, as a guest act at the dance competition Naach Nation, in New York, NY, and across the Midwest. As 2012 approaches, our group will be reaching its 10th anniversary and putting out our THIRD studio album! Chai-Town is a completely student-run, non-profit group of 16 members, each of whom has a passion for music. We love sharing this passion with our friends and family, our community, and the world.  less

The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the finest choral literature. The group performs extensively throughout the Southwest and will be singing at several venues in Washington D.C. during December of 2013. The group primarily consists of vocal music majors, however, there are singers representing several other academic disciplines. The University Chorale has been under the direction of J. Steven Walker since 1984. Dr. Walker is the Director of Choral Activities and a Linscheid Distinguished Teaching Professor at East Central University. He has served on the music faculty at ECU since 1983.  less
