Our Singing in the Pub sessions are on the third Thursday of every second month. At the next one we'll be learning a whole song in 2/3 part harmony in 90 minutes then jamming it with a live guitarist! Grab your friends, a drink and let's sing some sparkly tunes....The songs will be a surprise - that's part of the fun! With drinks deals at the bar - we'll have the happiest of happy hours! Everyone is welcome - everyone can sing - even the friend who insists they can't, they can! Pub singing is all about fun! No experience necessary just bring your voice and we’ll do the rest - shower singers, this is for you! 7.30pm - Arrive and drinks, 8pm - We Sing! £7 advance (plus 70p booking fee) on Meetup - Soul of the City Choir, £9 on the door Tickets sold quickly last time so we do recommend nabbing your ticket early just in case we can't fit you in on the door. The Chorallen Dresden are about 40 women of different age, different professions, different ... Every Wednesday there's something for our synapses: Singing jazz grooves, clapping on 2 and 4, not to mention running back and forth while singing. And let's not forget: Always smile! Biography In 2005, the women's choir was founded by Anja Schumann, who wields the scepter of musical art. Since then we diligently work on repertoire, refine the singing talents and laugh a lot. With the addition of Richard Larson as artistic director and a handful of additional singers, t...  moreKantorei, or singers, formed in 1997 under the leadership of 6 friends who decided to form a choir capable of singing a broad range of a cappella choral music. With the addition of Richard Larson as artistic director and a handful of additional singers, the group quickly found a footing in the cultural fabric of Denver, Colorado. Now entering its 15th full season of performing, the group has expanded into an auditioned ensemble of 54 volunteer singers who meet weekly to rehearse. Many of the singers come from schools with strong choral music programs, such as Augustana, Brigham Young, Concordia, Luther, St. Olaf, Wartburg, and the University of Northern Colorado. Kantorei established itself as one of the nation’s premier choral ensembles after performing as an auditioned choir for the 2003 National American Choral Directors Association Conference at Carnegie Hall in New York City. FHCS was formed in 1951 and has grown into an ambitious 100-strong choir. Membership is open to anyone with or without choral experience. We aim for high standards, and of course strong singers are always valued – but you don’t have to be able to read m...  moreFHCS was formed in 1951 and has grown into an ambitious 100-strong choir. Membership is open to anyone with or without choral experience. We aim for high standards, and of course strong singers are always valued – but you don’t have to be able to read music, and there are no auditions. The age range of members stem from 20 to over 70 so there is room for everyone. If you’re not sure which voice part you are then Christopher Wray, our Musical Director, can help you with this. The Choir performs three public concerts each year, at Easter, in the Summer and at Christmas. We also support the local communities by singing at various events and this includes raising funds for charities. Each year we also sing away from London which combines singing to another Community, or combining a performance with their choir, with a fun day out. The voices of young singers are celebrated and nurtured through a musicianship and vocal training program that includes reading and writing rhythms, interval recognition, diction, tone and vowel formation in a positive and fun choral setting. We're a group of about 20 men & women, and sing in 3 or 4 (or more) part harmony. Quorum love to raise money for local causes - covering all sorts of charities, in all sorts of venues. Quorum Singers of St Albans has been singing for over 25 years, and perform around 3 times a year in St Albans or locally in Hertfordshire. We rehearse once a week on Wednesdays, throughout the term time, and can often be found performing in Christopher Place around Christmas time!  less
