Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on The west coast of The Thermaic Gulf and in The shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, The character and The main concept of both parts is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of The Festival is to bring The music closer to The people and to present The music on The streets and The squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. All choir ensembles, regardless of The members’ gender and age can apply for participation at The Festival.  less

The "family" also includes older levels, a treble chamber choir, a mixed young adult Chorus, and a community adult Chorus. The Junior and Intermediate Training Choirs (JTC and ITC) provide a program of sequentially developed skills which prepare choristers for admission into The Surrey Children's Choir. The training choirs perform annually at The Family Christmas Concert and Year End concert (held in May of each year). They also often compete at The Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music Festival, always with great results. The training choirs may also perform at various events in The community. The SCC, a treble-voice choir of boys and girls aged 12-18 is a consistent gold medal winner at local festivals, hailed by Gerald Van Wyck, Vancouver Community College professor as "one of The best children's choirs in Canada".
