With a membership of around 80, we are an eclectic bunch of people who share a common love of Choral music. We offer new singers a warm welcome and the opportunity to take part in Choral concerts in London four times a year, plus various other events and weekend trips away both abroad and in the UK.
There is a thriving though optional social side to choir life including drinks after Monday night rehearsals and occasional choir social evenings and other events.
The Choir's repertoire ranges widely from staple works such as Bach's St Matthew Passion and Mendelssohn's Elijah to more unusual and rarely heard works by composers such as Jonathan Dove and the Choir's music director Jonathan Rathbone. It recorded Richard Maunder's new edition of Mozart's Requiem under its former music director Murray Stewart, and in 2009-10 the Choir released a CD of the Choir's repertoire, Where'er You Walk, to celebrat... less

What began as a small group of friends who were passionate about Choral singing is now a well-established enterprise which is becoming a benchmark in Spain and abroad, as endorsed by the stream of prizes and invitations and the public and critical acclaim. The definitive point of this international recognition came in 2009, when the choir took part in the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing in Tours(France) after having triumphed in all the classes in the competition in Guido d’Arezzo (Italy) the previous year.
With the common aim of enjoying Choral music, and sharing that enjoyment with others, this project includes an adult choir of 40 mixed voices and a children’s choir (‘Los Peques’) with 50 members. The training is notable for its versatility both in repertoire and in use of the singers, which enables the choir to present all kinds of concerts (mixed choir, chamber choir, ladies’ choir, men’s choir) with a wide repe... less

The choir’s repertoire imaginatively balances unaccompanied Choral music from the Renaissance period with 19th - 21st century works. Although relatively small in number, the choir is accomplished in singing music in both double and triple choir form. Particular specialisms include the works of William Byrd, Thomas Tallis and Tómas Luis da Victoria.
The choir has performed in many prestigious venues in Europe, including Notre-Dame in Paris, Chartres cathedral and Versailles. Events such as the Prague Spring International Festival (Czech Republic) have also featured the choir. In 2006, in Budapest, the choir performed Tallis’s towering 40-part motet Spem in Alium, with the internationally renowned Budapest Monteverdi Choir. In 2008 the choir enjoyed a trip to the Lisbon region and sang in some truly fantastic venues, including Mosteiro dos Jerónimos.
