The main focus of the choir is uplifting s...  moreThe over 60 member choir was founded in 1985, and is very proficient in singing different genre of music in harmony and has a wide range of repertoire of styles from classical, Contemporary and traditional music. The main focus of the choir is uplifting souls through Spiritual Gospel music. The choir has been honoured with many local and national events. The choir has also had the privilege of singing in several choir festivals of other denominations. In addition to the choir singing of daily services, the choir participates in a number of events in the Church. The choir by the grace of God has released some album in the year 2014 and 2018 titled “Ever Faithful and Angels Voices” respectively. The choir consists of participants in workshop weeks, which are offered twice a year in different European countries. Overtone singing is a new vocal technique that allows for singing two tones simultaneously. EOC sings compositions with written overtones as well as choir improvisations and contemporary music. The effect of controlled overtones on the timbre of classical choir compositions is explored with special ear training.

That choir was formed in the spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create and share a music experience together. That choir now brings together over 25 members with diverse backgrounds in work and study, and a mixture of trained and untrained voices. New Canadian artists are important for That choir to nurture and hAve already performed new works by J. Scott Brubacher as well as Reza Jacobs in December 2010. Also in December of 2010, That choir invited Canadian Theatre Artist Nancy Palk to read Dylan Thomas's " A Child's Christmas in Wales" as part of That choir Carols - an annual celebration of the Holidays. As That choir looks forward into 2011, it is becoming well known for its a cappella repertoire of many styles and periods with a strong focus on storytelling.  less
