We strive to create a musically inspiring, spiritually stirring experience for our patrons. From historically informed performance of early music to meticulously prepared classical works to the most exciting current sacred compositions, Te Deum presents beautiful music in stunning settings. Te Deum was founded by Matthew Christopher Shepard in 2008 to fulfill an expressed need by both singers and audiences in the Kansas City area to present sacred choral music concerts of the highest quality. The Te Deum Chamber Choir performed its first concert in spring 2009. Since then, the Chamber Choir has built an impressive and varied repertoire that spans centuries of time and wide ranges of composition style. Entre los estrenos realizados por el coro, se destacan: Kyrie de Andrés Milá Prats y Ave María de Juan Guerra, presentadas en el Salón Dorado del Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, durante 2003, año en el que también se estrena el Kyrie de Gastón Sznajderhaus. En 2005, el coro realiza la primera presentación de la obra en tres movimientos para coro y orquesta El jardín y el pantano del compositor Juan Carlos Figueiras, en el marco del ciclo Grandes Conciertos que tuvo lugar en el auditorio de la Facultad de Derecho de la UBA. Their repertoires include folk songs, classical songs, musical pieces, pops, and premiere works by renowned composers. In March 2011, Plaisir Ensembe achieved a great success in the “1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition” organized by the INTERKULTUR.
