Psalm 23 is dedicated to my aunt Patricia Shaw of Vancouver, as this is her favourite Psalm.
Two points of note:

First, The composition grew out of The feeling that All 4 Voices should start on The same note, grow outwards and Then come back to that same note at The end. The rest just seemed to evolve on its own, seemingly guided by some external force.
Second, unusuAlly, I have asked choirs (where possible) to Sing this without any breaks, via staggered breathing, as I wanted to highlight The deep conviction underlying The words of The Psalm, as one Single thread of deep belief that moves from beginning to end.

We perform for many organizations in and around The Western Pennsylvania area. Anyone wishing to Sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal prior to committing to The group. No auditions are necessary.
We also Sing in a Yearly competition cAlled Saengerfest held in June each Year. Members chorus' are: Altoona, Williamsport, Reading, Lebanon and Mon Yough. Each chorus hosts The competition on a rotating basis.
Rehearsals are held each Sunday at Sampsons MIlls Presbyterian Church at 1665 Lincoln Way in White Oak, PA 15131 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The Mon Yough Chorale was formerly known as The Mon Yough Community Singers. The Mon Yough Chorale has a long history in The Mon VAlley. The organization started as The McKeesport Choraliers in 1962 merging with The White Oak Community Singers in 2001 becoming The Mon Yough Community Singers.
In 2015, The group decided it was time for change and reorganized under The new name - Mon Yough Chorale. The ... less

Texts are available in Hebrew and in Phonetics, we translate and learn to pronounce and Sing togeTher, and have an archive of All The songs and The various harmonies recorded separately to make it easier to learn and join.
