It has grown to a higher level by achieving numerous titles within the past few years and also recognized as the best Tenor Bass voices from a school choir around the country. (Title gained 2014 onwards). The Choir has performed in National and International level stages (2012 Rome) and hosting many choral events in negombo including the biggest carol service in Negombo since 2007.(Maris Carols). It is trained by Mr. Francis De Almeida (Choral Director) since 2004. This choir has influences some youth choirs including Speranza , etc.... And also the Past Pupils Choir (The Old Maris Choir). The Choir is still hosting many Choral Events in Negombo. The Shrewsbury Theatre Singers is a new and exciting choir that started in September 2021. ​Sessions run on Tuesdays 5:30-7pm during term time, a length of 12 weeks. Youth Choir contains over 80 singers, and the total number of singers meeting each week at the academy is over 180. Le Festival SAWT (3ème édition - Du 12 au 15 Avril 2017) Le Cantique de Jean Racine est une œuvre pour chœur mixte à 4 voix et orgue (il existe deux orchestrations datées de 1875 et de 1901). Cette œuvre est une vraie réussite pour un jeune compositeur âgé de seulement 19 ans.
