Choir members have included opera singers, circus stage managers and women whose boldest performances have been behind a shower curtain. The choir’s musical director, Elaine Chan, is an acclaimed composer and a musical theatre icon in Singapore. She has played a prominent role in guiding the choir in singing its eclectic repertoire of pop, Broadway numbers, classical choral, and even African chants and gypsy wedding songs. nůmama has its beginnings as a mother and baby group in 2009, and has since grown into a choir for all women. It is open to all no matter what musical background, if any you may have. We "sing for the the sheer joy of it" and do local concerts. Recently we have sung at a large church inter-denominational christmas gathering and the highlight of the year to sing at a wedding at the request of the Bride and Groom.
