Each movements of the mass represents one island from Indonesia. Kyrie eleison represents Java island, especially West Java, with the voice imitation of gamelan (traditional Indonesian set of instruments) and some other folk elements including the pentatonic scale.

The song "Ljuven sanak" (a sweet dream) is the first song in a cycle called "Pjesni ljuvene" (songs of love), that were sang and recorded by Vocal Ensemble Brevis from Osijek in 2008.
