Striving to achieve artistic, vocal and Musical excellence The choir singers are graduates of The Rubin Academy of Music Tel Aviv, The School of Choir Singing, music students and graduates of selected youth choirs, performing a varied repertoire including both classical and contemporary music.
Ma'ayan has performed in official ceremonies held by The municipality; in various festivals such as Tel Aviv –Yafo Festival, Abu Gosh Vocal Music Festival, The Renaissance Festival, "Tones in The Desert" festival, The Jerusalem Arts Festival; in concerts with The Symphonic Orchestras of Jerusalem, Haifa and Rishon Letzion, The Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, The Israeli Chamber Orchestra, Raanana Symphonette, Baroquada, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra and The Israeli Opera.

This outdoor performance was The culmination of a six-week project which creates a choir from scratch for one night only. Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gaThers a random bunch of singers from in and around Ipswich. There are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear. with The primary objective (/s) of rehearsing and performing choral music, providing Musical
services to The community when The need arises, to provide a Musical home for all interested in
The greater Pretoria and Johannesburg area and to promote The standard of choral music.
Secondarily Tswelopele aims to educate its members in The singing of all types of choral music,
arrange concerts for The general public to attend, perform choral works with oTher choirs and
participate in various competitions and music festivals in The community. The choir currently
consists of 48 choristers. The choir being fairly young went to its first (TCMA) competition on
October 18th 2015, winning first place in The development section. The choir has since went on to
perform at Computeshare and Standard Bank respectively. Tswelopele Chorus attended its first GACMA
competition on May 29th 2016 and placed 6TH in The standard category.

MYC brings togeTher a membership of almost 400 families and offers youth between The ages of seven and 18 The opportunity to participate in eleven separate choral groups. Focused on drawing connections between music and The greater world, The program offers choristers Musical and social education opportunities through weekly rehearsals, annual concerts, and music retreats. The curriculum, focused on Thematic Musical study, is presented in an environment of sharing, growth, and recreation, allowing MYC to teach discipline, build self-confidence, foster teamwork, and provide constructive activity and positive role models during formative years. less
