With an inclusive approach our members have different levels of singing experience and come from a variety of backgrounds. We aim to make choral singing as accessible as possible to all Men.
Our performances offer something for all tastes with an eclectic mix of folk, opera, pop, sacred and classical pieces. The choir selects a diverse range of music music which is both familiar and new to our audiences enabling us to touch on as many different styles and genres as we can.
We are always keen to hear from potential new members. You don't need to be able to read music and many of our members have not sung in a choir before. As long as you can sing in tune and are willing to learn, then you are half way there. A disciplined approach and an enthusiasm for a wide range of music will also stand you in good stead. ink" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

It is based on a Czech Furiant (a fast dance with metre shifting between duple and triple time) called "Sedlák, sedlák", which was also sung as a light-hearted and frolicsome song gently poking fun at a corpulent farmer.
The words of the carol are by Malcolm Sargent himself.
Girls and boys, leave your toys. make no noise,
Kneel at His crib and worship Him.
At Thy shrine, Child divine, we are Thine,
Our Saviour's here.
"Hallelujah!" the church bells ring,
"Hallelujah!" the angels sing,
"Hallelujah!" from ev'rything.
All must draw near.
