Its first members were students of the Club's Music School and many of them participated in the Youth Choir of the city of Heraklion, under the direction of Mrs. Katerina Tzagkaraki. The name of the ensemble originates from Thalitas, an ancient cretan composer and legislator, after whom a street in Heraklion is named; in this street the first rehearsals of the ensemble took place.
The ensemble's primary goal was to acquaint its members with the a cappella (“in the chapel”, without church organ accompaniment) Vocal music of the renaissance period. THALITAS began by studying and performing works of renowned composers of that era (e.g. Josquin des Prez, G. P. da Palestrina, Orlando di Lasso) to assist the learning process of its members' musical studies. Amazonia Vocal Ensemble was founded in 2007 by Dr. Cristian Grases, and debuted on Nov. 30 of that year at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Miami. The ensemble rehearses weekly and is comprised of volunteer musicians, both professional and amateur.
The ensemble has performed throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties, as well in Naples in 2009 & 2012, Puerto Rico in 2010, and most recently in Washington DC in 2015.
The repertoire performed by Amazonia Vocal Ensemble is typically in Spanish but also in other American languages and original dialects such us Portuguese (Brazil), Papiamento (Aruba-Curazao), Quechua (Perú) and Chiquitano (Bolivia) among others. less

With two musical pro... moreSIETE PALOS is a band founded in 2005 in the city of Merida by seven young Venezuelan musicians with a wide musical and Vocal training, who offer an attractive rich dark voices proposal in a wide range of performance possibilities.
With two musical productions “Buenas Versiones” (2008) and “Rumba Romance” (2011) the Band has based their work on research and development of new ways of interpreting a cappella Vocal music of various genres, in implementing voices assemblies and timbres that inspired the creation of strings, wind and percussion. Thus, they recreate repertoires and original sounds of Venezuela and Latin American, which makes the band a new identity communication vehicle and the artistic and cultural development of the region.
SIETEPALOS is a musical proposal that has been able to make them known in various national and international festivals, in which the band has shared the stage with renowned artists, among the most prominent are:
