They have been featured ... moreThe 1607 Ensemble is a closely-knit vocal quartet that was selected as young artists at the Brighton Early Music Festival in 2007, and has gone on to perform in Festivals throughout the UK and internationally in Utrecht and Capri. They have been featured on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’ and ‘The Early Music Show.’ The members of the 1607 Ensemble hail from Britain, Canada, and the US, and their diverse musical backgrounds and affinity for a variety of musical styles are evident in their music. Equally at home singing Renaissance music and jazz, they also write their own compositions and arrangements, often combining old and new styles in music tailored to their unique vocal colours. One of the ensemble’s long-time interests has been the poetry of Clément Marot in 16th-century chanson. Kornelsen, the Denver Pro Chorale is comprised of thirty-six musicians based in the Denver Metropolitan area. The Denver Pro Chorale specializes in singing diverse a cappella choral repertoire including contemporary works from around the world.
The Denver Pro Chorale recently concluded its second season with its first independent concert to a sold out audience at Denver’s Church of the Ascension. Earlier this year, the Denver Pro Chorale was invited to sing at the Colorado Music Educator’s Association convention in Colorado Springs.
Moving into its third season, the Denver Pro Chorale is looking forward to collaborating with the Metropolitan State University and St. Martin’s Chamber Choir in joint concerts in addition to a Christmas concert and a concert at Denver’s Church of the Ascension in the spring of 2015.
