Union Chapel is a historic church based in Islington with a small but enthusiastic congregation looking to expand our horizons. It is well known as an iconic music venue attracting major artists. It is also a centre for social justice and community activities.
In recent years, The church has been developing music in our Sunday services with a range of genres, classical, jazz, gospel, and world music. The church has also created several unique events led by our musicians. These have included our annual Christmas Candlelight service, Good Friday evening performances and smaller events to commemorate such occasions as Black History Month, a remembrance event in The Covid pandemic. Besides The usual church festivals, we also have special services for Refugee Week, Gay Pride, Holocaust Memorial, and oTher special commemorations.

Hutchesons' Choral Society
an class="view_more">HCS is a non-auditioning, mixed-voice choir of approx 60 voices, based in The south side of Glasgow.

Our Singing in The Pub sessions are on The third Thursday of every second month. At The next one we'll be learning a whole song in 2/3 part harmony in 90 minutes Then jamming it with a live guitarist!

With two musical productions “Buenas Versiones” (2008) and “Rumba Romance” (2011) The Band has based Their work on research and development of new ways of interpreting a cappella vocal music of various genres, in implementing voices assemblies and timbres that inspired The creation of strings, wind and percussion. Thus, They recreate repertoires and original sounds of Venezuela and Latin American, which makes The band a new identity communication vehicle and The artistic and cultural development of The region.
