They were under The tu...  moreEast Rand Male Symphony was established in August 1990 by The members of The Then Kenneth Masekela SSS Boys Choir after winning The TUATA National School Choir Competition in The category of Boys Choirs for The 4th successive year. They were under The tutelage of Mojalefa Motloung. The choir is made up of members from The East Rand which is now affectionately known as Ekurhuleni. The young men who established The choir in 1990 are now responsible men taking Their place in Their communities. We currently have over 35 members of which ages range from 20 to 50. We are still under The baton of Mojalefa Motloung who also forms part of our Conductors Forum.  less

This 30-strong male choir aspires to The celebrated male choral tradition and delights in exploring its infinite artistic depth. Under The leadership of Meng-Hsien Peng as conductor and artistic director since 2013, The choir has achieved prestige as one of The country’s foremost choral groups. Throughout its seventeen years of existence, The Müller Chamber Choir has time and time again participated in international choral events to expand its artistic vision. In 2007, led by maestro Julian Ching-Chun Su, The choir participated in The 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest in Japan and took home a gold medal in The Folklore category and a silver medal in The Romantic category, placing second in The overall ranking. We provide music for all occasions, such as private parties, corporate functions, weddings, birthdays, etc., with a varied repertoire in The style of The Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices, The Real Group, Singers Unlimited, The Swingle Singers, Take Six and oThers. Clearly Vocal was selected as one of seven groups to compete in The 2010 Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes in Denver, Colorado. As winners of The 2010 Contemporary A Cappella League Showcase, Clearly Vocal was a featured group at The SoJam A Cappella Festival in Durham, North Carolina, November 12 & 13, 2010.  less

We are based in Chicago's western suburbs. ECU performs two major concerts each season with full professional orchestra musicians and pro soloists, and also a mini-concert of our singers in solos and duets with piano. We often appear as featured guest artists with Elmhurst Symphony and in local appearances. Our outstanding volunteer singers come from throughout The Chicago area for a unique musical experience. Our conductor James MacDonald has directed choirs and orchestras throughout The U.S. and overseas, and teaches conducting and music Theory.
