We raise the profile of recovery and reduce stigma through singing. We are available to sing at events, conferences, seasonal and any other times. We average 18 members and meet weekly.

Much of the music we sing is arranged in the barbershop style. Along with entertaining our local audience KCC competes in the Mid Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is a consistent champion in our Division. KCC also promotes quartet singing as well as a cappella singing among the youth in our region. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7pm and are always open for visitors so feel free to visit to find out more and to see if our group is right for you.  less

Music from every music epoch will be performed from serious to more pop/contemporary a cappella forms. This ensemble is offered every fall and spring semester, and satisfies the fine arts requirement when enrolled for a minimum of three semesters.

Following on from the formation of a Birralee Tenth Anniversary Alumni choir in 2005, Resonance of Birralee was formed under the leadership of Paul Holley. The young people involved represent a variety of professions and a significant number are tertiary students. They share a common love of singing and in many cases are accomplished musicians. One of their strengths as an ensemble is their expertise and appreciation of a broad range of music styles and their ability to adapt their programme to suit any event. In 2008 Resonance competed at the World choir Games in Graz, Austria, where they won Gold and Silver medals in popular vocal and gospel categories. A perennial competitor on the international stage, The Alliance Chorus has qualified for the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) International Competition every year since its’ formation in 1999. Ever “In Tune With Excellence”, The Alliance competed this past Summer in Las Vegas finishing 15th in the world, and in previous years has finished as high as 4th place! In addition to the competition circuit, The Alliance Chorus also has had many opportunities to give back and perform for the community.
