I brought this question up before as one of the fundamental problems of working with, and being a part of, a choral ensemble. After all, no one really wants to listen to an out-of-tune choir. It’s a complicated issue that involves...

The choir had recently given the first South American (and second overall) performance of my “Alleluia! O virga mediatrix”. Along the way I'd been chatting with a choir member about Pope Francis' Argentine heritage – a setting of text from an Argentine translation of the Bible seemed especially fitting. I'm happy to share the sheet music free of charge – please contact me for the PDF. • Facebook: david.basden.9 • New email: deebee123 [at] bigpond.com display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

It’s been at least 15-20 years now that we have participated in numerous festivals and concerts all over Greece but also all over Europe. In 2005, as adults, we decided to establish this particular group with the assistance of the Children’s Choir. We have given concerts in Hungary, in several cities in Greece and especially in Chalkidiki. In 2011 new members have been included in the group and we have changed our name into “THAMYRIADES”. Our repertory extends from classical to rock, pop and musical. You will have the opportunity to listen to us in selected halls. In Greek mythology, Thamyris (Greek: Θάμυρις), son of Philammon and the nymph Argiope, was a Thracian singer who was so proud of his skill that he boasted he could outsing the Muses. He competed against them and lost. As punishment for his presumption they blinded him, and took away his ability to make poetry and to pla... display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

Albion Win "The diction, intonation and ensemble is impeccable, and their dynamic range is magical - I have seldom heard quiet singing quite like it - barely audible but with an intensity of line and sound that is truly wonderful. They have the...

Additional support comes from private foundations, including the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, as well as gifts from the general public, and the 19/19/19 Campaign. We are the House ensemble of The Rockville Bach Academy, Inc, a non-profit organization chartered in Maryland. Founded in 2011 by conductor Richard Allen Roe, the group first took the name The Advent Project, owing to the Advent repertoire performed on their first concert. The group has since explored a wide range of repertoire, from Renaissance to Romantic era a cappella music, with a strong emphasis on the cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach. Along with their concert performances, ChorSymphonica has developed a unique concert experience, called Conversation Concerts. We continue to produce these educational and musical events along with traditional (non-lect... display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
