The Concert theme focused on the damaging nature of gossip and the larger meaning of how words are powerful and have greater impact than we realize. Based on a well-known Jewish folk tale, the piece is largely sung in Yiddish, featuring narrated passages in English, with the moral resolution in Hebrew. Performed: November 19 2016 Location: Studios of the Paul Taylor Dance Company, LES, NYC. Piano: Sam Shull Double Bass: Genevieve Chapin Lass="view_less_link" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

The aim of the Horizons Project is not simply to stimulate the creation of new South African Choral music; but to stimulate the creation of a new generation of South African Choral composers. There are 2 projects a year, each one focusing on a different genre of Choral compositions. The Choir consists of 24 hand-picked singers. By inviting specific ‘head-hunted’ singers to join the choir and not just having open public auditions, allows us to hold an extremely High level of musicianship, technical ability and an exclusivity that makes our sound unique. The choir is conducted and directed by Pieter Bezuidenhout Lass="view_less_link" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
