O quam gloriosum est regnum,
in quo cum Christo gaudent omnes Sancti!
Amicti stolis albis,
sequuntur Agnum, quocumque ierit.
O, how glorious is the kingdom,
in which all the saints rejoice with Christ!
Arrayed in white robes,
they follow the Lamb, wherever He goes.

Majority of the repertoire is arranged and composed by the members of the group, most of all by Laura Jēkabsone. The repertoire of Latvian voices is wide: from Latvian folk songs and original compositions with lyrics from Latvian traditional folklore to examples of Classical music in inventive transcriptions. The concerts are usually enriched with arranged melodies of popular and worldwide known songs as well as modern original compositions by Latvian voices.

Why our singing voices have different accents
[this is a version of a post which first appeared on my blog From the Front of the Choir]

As a choir, the Consort has a wide repertoire, ranging from Early Church music through to Folksongs and modern works. Each programme is different and reflects the wishes of those for whom we perform.
Since the Consort’s formation it has raised, through its choral concerts, many thousands of pounds for a wide range of charities and churches. It is always glad to consider invitations from such organisations. Its services are given voluntarily, although a contribution towards its music library and other expenses is gratefully received.
We would love to come and sing to you and help you raise much needed funds for your cause.
In addition to singing at Fund Raising events, the Choir is available to sing at private functions, weddings, funerals and so on less
