Si compone di 40 elementi di età varia molti dei quali provenienti già da esperienze musicali di vario genere e di vario livello. Il suo repertorio spazia tra brani di musica sacra, prOfana, operistica e di tradizione popolare; Dall’agosto 2009 svolge concerti, anima messe e cerimonie; partecipa ad eventi di beneficenza, di promozione culturale e di gala privati e non; partecipa a rassegne e festival corali. Organizza ogni anno ad Arsoli la “Rassegna musicale in onore di N.S.di Guadalupe”, la cui prima edizione coincide con il debutto della corale (Agosto 2009), sempre ad Arsoli, in occasione delle festività natalizie, organizza “A Christmas Carol, note di Natale” un concerto in collaborazione con il coro giovanile “Allegre Note” di Arsoli. Our members are mainly from a...  moreThe Mayo Male Voice Choir has been in existence for twelve years, it has grown in strength this year from 26 to 42 members, and now has a wide and varied repertory featuring many favorites from light Opera to popular musical. Our members are mainly from around The Castlebar area, but with five from Ballinrobe, more from Swinford, Kilkelly and Ballyglass we now truly represent our county. Under The musical direction Of Deirdre Lee, from Kiltimagh, Deirdre has been our musical director since The choir’s inception, an honors music graduate Of University College Maynooth, having studied under PrOfessor Gerard Gillen. She has been involved in many musicals and events as musical director, arranged and conducted. Deirdre is a teacher Of music, choir and orchestra in St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Castlebar. She has arranged many Of The pieces we perform in four part for male voice. which were previously not available to us.  less

In 2011 was Guest Choir at International Choir Festival MUNDUS CANTAT in Poland and held a series Of 13 concerts in various cities including The capital, Warsaw. His initial claim was also to promote new soloists and serve as a tool for new and established composers specially from The Rias Baixas area. The choir already has more than sixty performances, both self-managed and scheduled in various cycles or festivals such as Outono Lírico, Vigo Sinfónico, Barcia de Mera Religious Music Series, Nas Ondas, Portico Sonoro, Explurart, Cooltural Cambados and II Festival Groba.
