On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, the group won Second Runner-Up in the prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of the top five winners in the Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition.
In December 2007, the Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at the Opening Ceremonies of the Amazing European Union Christmas held at The Podium, Ortigas and was one of the Choirs invited to grace the Sing For Me Project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of the winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records. He saw two brothers,
Simon (called Peter) and his brother andrew.
They were casting a net into the sea,
for they were fishermen.
"Come, follow me," Jesus said,
"and I will make you fishers of men."
At once they left their nets and followed him.
The kingdom of heaven is like a net,
which was put into the sea
and took in every sort of fish. less
