RUC provides mentorship programs that foster community among its members and encourages music-making of the highest level, understanding that music exists in all areas of our lives. Through participation in the Rise Up Chorus, participants will: Understand that we all have value Understand that WE ARE the music, not just makers of music Music isn’t limited to rehearsal and performance. We believe that anyone can sing and are an open-access choir - no auditions, all needs catered for. We have just done two small performances after only rehearsing for 6 weeks!  

We are an 80-strong SATB choir in our 55th season and, while we sing a varied repertoire, we are best known for our spirited performances of the great and exciting choral works. In recent years, works which we have performed include Bach ‘Magnificat’, ...  moreWe are an 80-strong SATB choir in our 55th season and, while we sing a varied repertoire, we are best known for our spirited performances of the great and exciting choral works. In recent years, works which we have performed include Bach ‘Magnificat’, Vivaldi ‘Gloria’, Mozart ‘Requiem’, Orff ‘Carmina Burana’, Rossini ‘Stabat Mater’, Dvorak ‘Mass in D’, Tippett ‘A Child of our Time’, Handel 'Messiah' and Verdi ‘Requiem’.' We engage professional soloists and orchestra, to perform with the choir. Since March 2015 our Musica Director is Adam Treadaway. We perform three CONcerts a year at St George's Church Beckenham with weekly rehearsals from September to June at the St George's Church Hall. These venues are close to Beckenham Junction Rail and Tram Stations and on many bus routes. Car parking is also available at the St George's public car park.  less

Under the direction of Lisa Wong, the choir has been praised for its beauty of sound, high level of artistry, and engaging performances. The Wooster Chorus presents several CONcerts both on and off-campus throughout the academic year, and embarks each spring on a week-long domestic tour. Membership is by audition. Recent collaborative performances have included Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D Minor with the Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.  less

Created to be a chamber ensemble specializing in demanding classical choral works, Meistersingers maintains high standards in literature and chooses outstanding performance venues with beauty and elegance equal to the music. We are committed to CONtinuing this path and expanding our influence in the music community through different means such as composition competitions and scholarships. Directed by David Skinner, Alamire has embarked on an ambitious ten year 30-disc project to record a library of early English choral music. Skinner’s performing editions will be published by Edition Peters. He is also guest blogger on renaissance repertoire for Eric Whitacre.  

We are an amateur choral group based out of Richardson, Texas in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We sing a wide variety of music from sacred Christmas, to Broadway and show tunes in the spring.

We offer new singers a warm welcome and...  moreLFC was established in 1950 in Walthamstow, North East London, and has been based in that area ever since. With a membership of around 80, we are an eclectic bunch of people who share a common love of choral music. We offer new singers a warm welcome and the opportunity to take part in choral CONcerts in London four times a year, plus various other events and weekend trips away both abroad and in the UK. There is a thriving though optional social side to choir life including drinks after Monday night rehearsals and occasional choir social evenings and other events. The Choir's repertoire ranges widely from staple works such as Bach's St Matthew Passion and Mendelssohn's Elijah to more unusual and rarely heard works by composers such as Jonathan Dove and the Choir's music director Jonathan Rathbone. It recorded Richard Maunder's new edition of Mozart's Requiem under its former music director Murray Stewart, and in 2009-10 the Choir released a CD of the Choir's repertoire, Where'er You Walk, to celebrat...    less
