This is a ...  morePride, versatility and musical excellence best describe Newman Sound Men's Choir of St. John's, Newfoundland. Named after a beautiful and rugged region in Terra Nova National Park, The Choir celebrates it's 10th anniversary season in 2014-2015. This is a true community Choir of more than thirty experienced singers representing The professions of music, teaching, engineering, law, civil service, marketing, information technology and journalism. Nearly one-half of The Choir's singers are students from across many disciplines of study. Newman Sound has realized an ever-growing loyal audience, a high local, national and international reputation and a very bright future having established an exciting and eclectic repertoire across The genres of classical, pop and folk including some outstanding arrangements and original compositions by several of The singers within The Choir.  less

However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a ...  more Aghias Triados Children's Choir was established in 1967 by a talented young musician, Theodore Papakonstantinou (1948-1969), who had time only to install The foundations of The Choir. However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a significant Mass, which is sung by The Choir in The Aghias Triados church of Thessaloniki. From 1969 till now, The Choir continues its work successfully having as its director his elder broTher Vassilis Papakonstantinou, with whom it has given many Concerts in more than fifty cities in Greece and aboard, as well. It has visited Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerlandn, Hungary, Czech, Bulgaria, France etc. It has won first prices and gold metals in Choir competitions. One of The most important parts of Aghias Triados Children's Choir's history is its participation with European Union Youth Orchestra and Vienna's Youth Choir, to The performance (AThens, 1985) of The third Symphony of Leonard Bernstein under The direction of The composer.  less

We rehearse at The Bundoora campus of La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Our objectives are to rehearse and perform Choral music, to participate in InterVarsity Choral Festivals and to do whatever else seems relevant. The Society is a non-auditioned Choir, but it has been suggested that we could have a small, auditioned group within The society (perhaps called "Graduate Singers" or such like). AnoTher possibility is that we could sing at graduation ceremonies in Union Hall. AnoTher possibility is a joint Concert with anoTher UCS. and what sort of music should we sing? Madrigals? Handel's Messiah? COME ALONG and HAVE YOUR SAY!  less

Founded in 1977, The Choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.
