Students meet each week for a 60 minute class learning the fundamentals of synchronized moves and harmony while singing popular songs. Emphasis is placed on developing good fundamental vocal skills, part-singing, sight reading, choreography, stage presence and musicianship. The Charlotte Glee Club performs at Charlotte Academy of Music as well as community events.

We specialise in performing hit songs mainly from the 1980s as you've never heard them before. Why? Because the majority of our songs are arranged specially for us by our ridiculously talented in house music team. We perform all over London in clubs and pubs and can be relied upon to bring a sparkle to any occasion, as Musical Director Kat Yates explains: "In KiS (as we're known to our friends) we've really put the emphasis on fun - and our audiences relate to this. As a result we've performed at festivals, events and celebrations all over London and people always ask us back for more. Directed for more than ten years by Michael Bawtree, its repertoire spans the Renaissance to the present day and has included the Scottish premieres of works by James Whitbourn, Hans Gál, Jan Dismas Zelenka, Richard Bush and Judith Bingham. The choir performs regularly in Glasgow and central Scotland, and has toured to France, Holland and Sweden, where it has formed links with other choirs. Recent BBC radio engagements have included William Walton’s Henry V Suite with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Sunday Worship live and Bryan Burnett’s ‘Get it On’ show live on BBC Radio Scotland. The choir features regularly in Raymond Gubbay’s Christmas Festival in the Glasgow Royal CONcert Hall.  less

It does not meet on a regular basis, but comes together for short, intensive work periods, culminating in performances, or “projects.” The majority of its musicians are recruited from the metropolitan Washington, DC and Baltimore areas, but some come from as far away as New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. We offer high-quality performances of significant choral, and choral-orchestral music, CONcentrating especially, but not exclusively, on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. We supplement our gifts to the community with unique experiences, such as our “CONversation CONcerts.” We also offer advanced training opportunities in our specialized choral and choral-orchestral repertoire for young CONductors and singers, through our workshops and performances.  less

The Voice Community Choir is based in Barnstaple, North Devon. We sing a cappella music, old and new and songs from around the world. The emphasis is on enjoyment of singing - and is open to ALL.
