Sponsored positions are available so don’t let money be a barrier. We meet every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm during school terms at the CWA Hall, 20 West Market St, Richmond, NSW. One of our members Pammy says: ‘It’s funny - most of us think we can’t sing but somehow together, we sound amazing!’ She’s right! Featuring a cast of over 44 singers In planning the narrative for this concert, where possible, we named individual victims to lend identity to the anonymity of the masses. The concert also reflected on modern conflicts with a special focus on the impact of war on ordinary innocent people -refugees, civilians, children and victims of the growth of modern slavery often associated with conflict. Featuring well loved songs of commemoration, peace, friendship and reconciliation, there was plenty of opportunity to join in, loudly and with meaning - and by being together, singing and making music . 300 plus people were part of what is happening amongst like minded people trying to bring Peace to Planet Earth at this very difficult and troubled time. songs include Robins song Singing out the days The French Prostitute ...    less

He has appeared as guest choir at the International Contest of Haban...  moreThe Maestro Casanovas Chorale was founded in 1986 and is named in recognition of the Maestro Francisco Casanovas. He has given concerts in different Spanish cities and internationally. He has appeared as guest choir at the International Contest of Habanera and Polyphony of Torrevieja. He has also performed concerts of polyphonic works of great composers from the Renaissance to the twentieth-century works. Most components of this choir are professional musicians or young students of instrumental or vocal music. The choir has performed concert tours in Switzerland, Italy and Cuba. Receive the following awards to date: 2 nd prize in Portugalete, 2nd prize and special prize in the contest of carols in Molina de Segura (Murcia), 2nd prize and prize for the best Nana in the contest of lullabies and carols in Rojales (Alicante ). In 2006 he won first prize in the National Contest of Habanera XXVI of Totana (Murcia). In December 2007 he won the first prize in the thirteenth edition Carols Contest Rojales. The mission of the Madison Youth Choirs is to create a community of young musicians dedicated to musical excellence through which we inspire enjoyment, enhance education, and nurture personal, musical, and social development by the study and performance ...  moreThe mission of the Madison Youth Choirs is to create a community of young musicians dedicated to musical excellence through which we inspire enjoyment, enhance education, and nurture personal, musical, and social development by the study and performance of high-quality and diverse choral literature. MYC brings together a membership of almost 400 families and offers youth between the ages of seven and 18 the opportunity to participate in eleven separate choral groups. Focused on drawing connections between music and the greater world, the program offers choristers musical and social education opportunities through weekly rehearsals, annual concerts, and music retreats. The curriculum, focused on thematic musical study, is presented in an environment of sharing, growth, and recreation, allowing MYC to teach discipline, build self-confidence, foster teamwork, and provide constructive activity and positive role models during formative years.  less

We encourage choral singing for all ages and abilities, including those who have never sung in choirs before as well as very experienced singers. We perform a wide range of music throughout the year and we're committed to contributing to the cultural life of our area. There is no need to audition, just to love singing! Our musical director is Rupert Gill.

There are more than 150 works of various times (Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism and music of the twentieth century) and styles (choral concerts, choral miniatures and songs, spirituals, songs of different nations of the world, Folk songs, Christmas music) at the repertoire of our choir. Modern Belarusian music takes a large part of our repertoire, thanks to that we are happy to open Belarus to other nations.
