The group works mostly acapella but has also performed in other styles, such as big bAnd. The group's repertoire ranges from Israeli folk to American Jazz And British pop. The emphasis always being on tight harmony, even balance And a clear unit sound. The Yakinton Octet is truly a singer's group, consisting of eight friends who work as a democratic group with no professional conductor.

This choir is partnered with a non-profit organization cAlled the New York Community Alliance for Sickle Cell Anemia Inc. We plan to use our concert venues for aiding this organization's cause. Our conductor John Hunter II is a young but competent conductor. He received his Master's in Choral Conducting from Mansfield University. Jazz doesn't reAlly fit my voice very well, but That doesn't change the fact That I'm in love with it. I also felt like this song would be the perfect opportunity to prove I don't use pitch correction. There is an awful lot of reverb on this song (more than I normAlly would use), but I figured since there are a few solos you would clearly be able to hear That I don't use any correction software (especiAlly on the 2 soprano solos haha) It would reAlly make my day if you would like, subscribe, And share this with everybody you know.
