Under the musical direction of Kevin Fox (UK) and the baton of house conductor Erez Tal, Vocalocity performs mostly original arrangements of a range of cutting-edge rock/pop/jazz music. The singers, all of whom come from a background in modern a cappella, range in age but are mostly around their 20s-30s. After a fruitful year, including 3 full-house concerts and several festivals, working with leading acapella masters such as Line Groth and Eric Bosio, collaborating with leading arrangers, composers and artists and recording for the upcoming Swingle Singers CD, we are looking forward 2015 with a visit to Aarhus Vocal Festival and creating some new recording and video clips of our own. The group was formed with some of Brisbane’s best and most experienced ensemble singers, most of whom sing regularly with other choirs in and around the city and have extensive performing and touring experience both around Australia and internationally. The singers range across an assortment of careers, from educators to environmental engineers, and from students to musicians. They are drawn together because of their passion for singing and produce an energy in performance that immediately connects with their audience. In programming, Fusion specialises in early and new music – from Jean Mouton and Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla to Cyrillus Kreek, Arvo Pärt, and Henryk Mikolaj Górecki. Every one of them have learned and recorded individually a part of an original song (Vuela Alto = Fly High). When brought together, this parts sums to a wonderful show of talent and music. This project was made for the graduation prom by students aged between 13 and 15 years old. They show us that the only thing that matters to achieve anything is take the risk and surrender to your dreams. More than a third of them have never sung to an audience before (including Linda, the soloist). The music brings us together, it allows us to raise our voice to the universe and with it "Ni la distancia podrá separarnos" (Not even the distance can take us apart).  display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
